Hobonichi 2018

You may remember the beginning of last year I got a hobonichi and I used it for about a month before finding peace in a different planner. I think the reason I moved away from it was that I just wasn’t ready for an a5 planner. If you have been following me for a while you’ll know that I have been in an a5 planner for about two months and have found it very useful for me and the way I have it set up really works for me. So, I thought it was time to try out the Hobonichi again but be damned what everyone else does with theirs. I know a lot of people use it as a journal or a daily art outlet but I am going to be using it as a planner and tweak my pages as and when needed. So let’s get into the meat of this planner.

Hobonichi

I kept an eye out on the buy and sell groups and I managed to get my hands on this beauty that I had been eyeing up in the Journal Shop for a while but the lovely lady had the journal cover and a cover on cover. I am super happy with this. Let me sure you inside.

Inside the cover, there are quite a few pockets and the front of the Hobonichi slides into that back pocket but you can also use this as a pocket as well. These covers are really durable and really well made.

There is a lot more in this planner then what I am showing you but I thought I would give you a look at the basics and then if you think it’s for you then head over to youtube and check out a few flipthrough videos. I am going to use this as a tracker for my personal task, I’ll just be filling in throughout the month.

I haven’t figured out how I will be using the weeks – I may as a time tracker or a note of what I actually did each day. I will actually be using a weekly in my A5 Filofax so keep an eye out for that.

These are the meat of the planner and the pages that I will be using the most. I’m going to be using the bullet journal system in this planner as it feels the most fitting. I am excited to get these pages in use. I’ll show you more as I get settled in.

And in the back there is another slip pocket and the Hobonichi tag. I really love this cover the blue is amazing and I have my tardis on the spine and I can’t wait to get stuck into this and show you how I am using it.

That’s all for me today! You can follow me on Instagram @samplanslife. Or alternatively, you can sign up to get notifications everytime I post. Just fill in that box on the left.

Take care of yourselves!
