A Walk Around York: St Andrewgate

Today’s Snickelway qualifies as one purely because is boasts a row of posts at both its junctions. York City Council bestowed upon the street the status of cycleway. Here’s todays map;

St Andrews gate is a very peaceful part of the city and is a is frequented by pedestrians and cyclists alike.

Exiting St Andrewgate, we reach Kings Square. You will usually find a street magician or musicians playing on the platform to the crowns in the square.

Before moving onto Newgate me and mum got a sandwich from Thomas’ on the corner and sat and had a rest!
