A Day For Challenges

Happy Sunday morning people! How are we all doing on this sunny Bank Holiday Sunday (I may have spoken to soon on that but we will see). I had a very productive night last night I managed to play along with 4 different challenges. The first challenge is from the wonderful CASE study ladies, which was to CASE a fellow player. This was a bit of a hard one because there are so many fantastic players. In the end though I decided to CASE Colleen Dietrich and her Little Sail boat card. Here’s my take on it…

I know another tree but its just to cute not to use! My next stop was over at Freshly Made Sketches I knew exactly which stamp set I wanted to use with this lovely sketch and with a cut, stamp and stick later and here’s my next card…

Aren’t those acorns just so cute! I wonder it I can make them out of felt Hmm… Okay so my next card does have a tree on it but it’s not felt, I just had a bit of a clever moment for The Play Date Cafe colour splash challenge. Black, White and splash of Lime I was going to do all sorts of things with my acorn stamp set, but then I looked at my button jar which at the moment is full of lime buttons and inspiration hit! Button Tree!!

I embossed the white card with the wood grain impression plate and then slowly filled the tree with buttons, I love how this card turned out! And my last challenge was over at CAS-ual Fridays which was to put a banner on your card. With this card I decide to go super CAS with this card.

See what I mean!? I stamped on the sentiment first and then embossed the background with the music sheet and then stuck on the chipboard banners out of my Studio Calico kit finished this card off! I really chuffed with how these cards came out, need to scoot though going out today to take photos of the York Flotilla. I ‘ll share some photos later.

Have a fab day!

  1. Wow, I love all of the cards that you created! Your button filled tree is so clever! The music embossing is so subtle and really allows your banner to take center stage on your last card. Simply perfect! Thanks for joining in the fun at CAS-ual Fridays!

  2. Great card Sam! I love those acorns! They’re so adorable! Your card is so clean and yet those acorns stand out so nicely! Great colouring job! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
